God Wants a Powerful People

So I am finally adding something new! I havn't been posting lately cause basically our lives haven't been too eventful!! Ha ha. Anyway....... I've been reading a book that I really like and have learned a lot from. It's by Sheri Dew and its called GOD WANTS A POWERFUL PEOPLE. This is not something I would normally do cause I usually keep my testimony and spiritual thoughts to myself. But I would really like to share something from this book that I REALLY liked.

"Backing up may mean repenting. It may mean forgiving someone or seeking forgiveness of another. It may just mean trying again. It may require you to ask for help, seek knowledge, humble yourself, change a decision, change an attitude, change your heart, or mend a relationship. It may mean striving harder to become more pure. It may mean that it's time to stop doing something or start doing something. It may mean seeking counsel from a parent or a priesthood leader, a trusted friend or eve a professional. Whatever backing up means--- and it can mean something different for every situation---- there are many times in life when we simply need to back up, even just a few inches, before we can hope to zoom forward spiritually again."

I loved this!!!! For me BACKING UP means to START DOING SOMETHING! The past little while I have been feeling like I've been "coasting" spiritually. I don't know if any of you have felt like this too, but I didn't feel like I was doing anything terribly wrong but I definitely wasn't doing anything to strengthen my testimony. Even when I would pray I just didn't feel anything. So when I read this, I decided that I was one that needed to "back up" before I could move forward spiritually again.

"In today's world, there are too many good people with no conviction, and too many evil people filled with conviction" -Sheri Dew-

I loved this too!!!! ha ha.

My friend Britney is getting marrried so a bunch of us girls went to st george to do some wedding stuff. This is us at Texas Roadhouse. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm!!
And I just liked this picture. Tj looks goofy. but I still think it is cute. I'll post better and more interesting photos when we get back from our trip to San Fransisco in a couple of weeks. Tj has another Pharmacy school interview there and I get to go with him to this one! Yay. Plus we'll be there on valentines day so it'll be fun!

Yes, come stop by if you can on your way to SF. You can leave your car at my house if you need and we can take you to the airport. Great idea! It takes at least and hour and thirty minutes for me to mail a package here because of distance and lines, not a good enough excuse, but I am sticking with it.

Oh I love your post today, well a few days ago. Thanks for sharing the info about the book, I haven't heard of it and I'm going to have to go get it. I don't read enough church books and I love Sherri Dew.
