Road Trip!

We took a roadtrip to Utah in July to visit our friends and fam. Our first stop, we stayed with our friends Chis and Whit and ate our fave restaurant Texas Roadhouse! We don't have a single one in liberal country. Then our next stop was in Richfield. We went golfing with my parents and like always my mom cooked us some delicious meals:) Next stop, Kanab! We went on a four wheeler ride and camped at lake powell for the night. Then on our way back home we stopped and had a cookout in the boonies with our friends Chris and Whit and Tiffany and Clint and Matt (without his wifey)

Lady Gaga Concert (Almost)

Me and Andrea had been wanting and waiting to go to the Lady Gaga concert for months. We decided to wait and scalp some cheap ones. Well, apparently Lady Gaga isn't cheap. They were selling them for like 200. So we really didn't get inside to see Gaga but at least we got a pic in front of her bus and we still got to see some Portland freaks and ate at Old Town Pizza downtown :)

I loved watching these two get so excited to only catch a tiny little, ugly fish. Me and Andrea just sat and ate gummy bears and smores while these two did all the work. Overall it was a GREAT day at the beach.

Ok so here it is folks, my first cake from my class. Its not much, but I am pretty proud of it for being my first official cake. It was an almond flavored sour cream cake with raspberry filling.

So I realized I never put pictures of our apt up. So 5 and a half months later, here they are!!

Did I mention we got this bed for free? Ya we did. This picture doesn't do it justice, but it is really pretty in person, plus it was free.

So my best friend in the whole world got me jazz tickets for christmas! The game was fun. The jazz were ahead 20 points just in the first quarter. Plus we were THE ONLY jazz fans there. Not exaggerating! I was almost scared to take off my coat and sport my jersey. Ahhhh. what kind of fan am I! haha.

Oh and I am taking a cake decorating class so from now on I will post some of the stuff I learn. I am super excited for this. So after my class on tuesday I made the buttercream frosting and cake I need for next class and made a little sample for TJ. He loved it.

First off, here is my recent baking. RED VELVET CUPCAKES ! I know, I know right? The best part about them? They are filled with cream cheese frosting. So delish.

Tj had the day off so we went to Mo's 12th annual crab and chowder fest at the Willamette Valley Vinyard. We love Tj's days off. It usually means adventure time! It was such a gorgeous day! 55 degrees, and look, you can see the sun in these pics! As soon as we got out of the city, the sun appeared. We havn't seen a lot of sun lately:( So this vineyard thingy was new to us. There was wine tasting and everyone seemed to be having a good time (if you know what I mean). We of course did not taste the wine, but they did give us a free wine glass, and we got some chowder and shrimp.

I have to say we live in a gorgeous place! Can you believe the grass is still green here! All should come visit! We are so excited for summer time to explore some more.

Clam Chowder.

Ok so here it is. THE BEST CLAM CHOWDER IN THE WORLD. I didn't even like clam chowder til I met TJ. (I also didn't eat sandwiches either and now I eat one everyday) Anyways.... Tj has this obsession with clam chowder. So when we first moved up here we drove to the coast and stopped by this little junky seafood place. Little did we know it is a hidden gem! This clam chowder is to die for! So whenever we have time we drive to the coast to grab some. So whenever any of you come to visit, we will take you here. If you don't like clam chowder, everything else is to die for too! I can't stop thinking about this warm apple tart we had for dessert there the other night!OMG!

My Weekly indulgence

So I made it a goal a few months ago to lose my Applebee's ten. For those of you that don't know what that is, it is the goodies I gained just by working at Applebee's for the last 4 years!!!! So I have been going to the gym religiously and on a diet. Yes I said a diet! And I can proudly say the Applebee's ten is gone!!!! But the only way I was able to keep my diet was to indulge once a week on goodies such as this one below. So this is my weekly piece of heaven, HERSHEYS "PERFECTLY CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE CAKE. And oh man was it perfectly chocolate. Me and TJ ate the two slices you see gone and then the rest of the cake is going to the missionarys that live next to us. If we do not give it away, my Applebees ten will be back by the end of the week!

So this weekend we had our first visitors!!! Tj's parents came to visit us and we had a lot of fun with them. We ate a lot of clam chowder and saw some AMAZING sites on the coast and in the Columbia gorge. So I'm pretty sure there are enough pics to tell our story of this weekend.

I love that I have the next three years to go thru this adventure with T

Well not much has been going on lately. TJ goes to school and studies all day and I work at crapplebee's once in a while and just hang out. I find myself watching Friends WAY more than I should lately! Anyways..... T had a birthday last week, he turned 27!!! I got him a new HUGE tent and we went downtown to a sushi and seafood buffet. It was pretty delicious. Other happenings were that we drove up to seattle and went to a mariners and yankees game and went to the space needle. (which is way over rated by the way) It was cool but way over priced.

Also I've been liking the new prius lately. Call me crazy but they don't look as retarded as they once did to me. I think they are starting to grow on me. Plus the fact they get 50 miles to the gallon is also enticing. I don't know. Who knows maybe in a couple of years this will be my new car of choice. So that is all!!

Going Home

Before we started our journey here in Oregon, we decided we needed to make a week long trip back to utah to visit both of our families. After a long summer of working, we both enjoyed ourselves A LOT!

All I wanted to do when I went home was camp. After being in the city for so long, i was excited to do outdoors stuff. Well, we never went camping. Ha ha. We didn't find enough time to go, but we did make smores at my parents house. Following that me Tiffy and T slept out on the tramp. Lucky for us there was a meteor shower that night. I loved it!!

Have I mentioned my new love for golfing lately! We went once in richfield and once in kanab while we were home. I wish I would have discovered my love long before now! I have to say I'm pretty good. I think it comes from my mom. She is naturally pretty good, so is christie kind of, but tiff didn't acquire the golfing talent i don't think. Sorry tiff.

TJ thinks he's good. But I've only been golfing 5 times and I'm just as good as he is and he played golf in High school.

We were able to see Trevor and Jodi's new baby Karlie Sue. What a pretty girl huh?

And The Yankee's Game TJ has been planning since February!

Look at T. He acted like a little kid at this game. Ha ha. I loved it. He is so funny. He wanted to get there two hours early and he also wanted to bring a pen just in case they were doing autographs.

Did I mention this night was freezing! Even after two hot chocolates!

We had pretty good seats. Don't you love it when you just keep walking down further and further to your seat. It is the best feeling! We were on row 6.

Now in Oregon!

Here we are in Oregon. It definitely is different! Just so you know, if you come to visit us in Oregon, don't get out and pump your own gas cause a little man will come over and yell at you and tell you you are going to get fined. Apparently its a law here that you can't pump your own gas, you have to let them do it.

Oregon Road Trip

We began our trip early in the morning traveling 10 hours to Portland to look for some place to live and to talk to schools. It was a LONG trip but very fun. Me and TJ realized that people in oregon worship Subaru Outbacks. They were everywhere. Is that a surprise to anybody though? It didn't surprise me at all. I decided after seeing people on bikes and backpacks and wearing jesus shoes everywhere we went, that Oregon people try TOO hard to be outdoorsy. Us utah people don't have to wear a backpack everywhere we go to be outdoorsy, we are just naturally outdoorsy:)

We went to this cool OLD, VERY OLD, pizza place and it was very good! Plus across the street was a transvestite bar we checked out after we ate:)

Here is the Portland temple. It was gorgeous! But then again what temple isn't?

A while back me and some of the girls out here went to the Jelly Belly factory. It was really fun. Although, I do have to say that I wish there was more taste testing:)

Horse Races & Baseball

We went to some horse races a couple weeks ago. It was really fun cause I have never been to anything like this. We bet 5 dollars on this beauty, number 9. We lost. Ha ha. But it made it so much more fun to bet on a horse cause then we had one to cheer for.

Today we went to an A's vs Giants game. Here I am ready to catch a ball. Then TJ crushed my dream telling me I had a 1 in 10,000 chance of catching a ball.

Cotton Candy tongue!! I am such a sucker for cotton candy! I love it. Everytime the guys would come by with cotton candy I would want it so bad. But I resisted. Then Hollie got a bunch so I gave in and had some:)

Just Bored

I am at work and REALLY BORED. Things on my mind right now.

1.) Why does my husband call himself Tido?

So Tj and his "wolfpack" all have nicknames. Tj's is Tido. I don't know why it is that. But anyways. Recently he has been calling himself that. For example... I just talked to him on the phone and he said, "HI babe this is Tido." Weird

2.)Why is it that we live so close to San Fransisco and never go!

We live about 30 min from san fran and we have only gone a couple of times. We seriously need to take advantage of where we live.

3.) Grilled PB and J!

Ok so this has been on my mind for a while. ONe day at work I was bored so I was looking at recipes and this one popped up. It is a genius idea!! Its PB&J but ooey and gooey. Still havn't tried it. My niece emma loves peanut butter so maybe i'll get her to try it too:)

4.) Cali's weather. Very Disappointed!

So when you picture California don't you picutre a lot of sun and beach? Not!!! It is freezing here lately. Like I'm talking 60s. That my friends is way too cold for june!!! I am actually wearing a sweater as I speak! I wanna go back to vegas. I can't imaging what oregon will be like. I imagine it will be like this but even colder!

5.) Froggie
So about 9 months ago, Tj took a herpatology class in the fall and bought this frog so he could obseve it and write a paper on it. Well, 9 months later we still have the frog and he is a permanant part of our family now. We never really named him, we just call him froggie. So I guess his name is froggie. Ha ha. So i went to petco the other day to get him some food when I ran into this petco employee and she showed me the same frogs and theres were brown. Ours is not brown, it is bright green. So I asked her, "why are yours brown,and mine is bright green?" She said "oh your frog is sad and stressed if he is bright green. This broke my heart!!! I thought he was happy. " So I changed all of this stuff in his aquarium so maybe he will feel better and he is still bright green. I think the lady was lying to me. ha ha. I think he likes being bright green. He is prettier that way. He He.

6.) I have a serious phobia/fear of snakes.

So I've always known I HATE snakes. But I am pretty sure It is not a fear but a full blown phobia. I can't even watch them on tv. And when I do see one on tv, I have nightmares about it. A couple of nights ago I was having a nightmare about snakes and I woke up and SERIOUSLY thought snakes were in our bed. I was crying and shaking our sheets to get them out. I don't even like thinks that look like snakes like ropes and fake rubber snakes. Ewww. I get the chills even looking at a rope. ONce I was in petco and they took a snake out of its cage and I absolutey had to leave the store asap!!! I also won't walk by a bush or in a field cause the chance that there might be a snake lurking. Fear or Phobia? I'm not really sure, but I HATE SNAKES!

Yay TJ finally graduated!!!! I am so proud of him for all of his hard work! He has really worked really hard to get into pharmacy school and he did it! We are both so excited to have some new experiences coming up. We moved to cali last week to sell with APX. Then after the summer we are headed up to Oregon for tj's school. Lots of changes.

Easter Break and a NEW CORVETTE!

Easter weekend was a lot of fun. Too bad I didn't bring camera to document golfing, drag races and easter egg hunt in Las Vegas!!! I always forget it when we go anywhere. BUT.... I did capture some pics from mine and Taryn's fun day at Sand Hollow which was the day after easter!!! TJ was doing homework and Bode was working so we decided to soak up some serious sun together!!! It was perfect weather, 80 degrees and no wind!

Later the same day, me and TJ drove to st george to have dinner with TJ's parents and little did we know Danny was a new proud owner of a BRAND NEW CORVETTE.

This last weekend I celebrated my birthday. Thats right I have a birthweekend instead of a birthday!!! First we went to my parents house in Richfield to celebrate. My mom made me a DELICIOUS dinner with lobster and crab legs and cheesecake for my birthday cake. MMMMM!!! It was to die for. Then we headed up to salt lake to go to the jazz vs suns game. It was a really good game for two reasons. First it went into overtime, and second the JAZZ WON!!! We went with my best friend Taryn and her husband Bode.

He also got me roses and a Disney Princess balloon, and a gift card to Itunes cause I told him I was sick of all of my music and wanted to erase everything on my IPod and get new music. He also got me the entire FRIENDS series. YaY. I love FRIENDS and could watch it all day long!!!

Mexico and Fishing

One thing me and TJ agree on is that warm weather is BETTER!!!!! I could live in 100 degree weather all year round if I could. So lately we've been taking advantage of the warm spring weather. We've taken a couple of trips to Quail lake to go fishing. We also took a road trip to mexico for spring break!!! So here are some fun pics. Enjoy!

Trip to San Francisco and Accepted to Pharmacy School!!!!

Me and TJ went to San Francisco last weekend. TJ had an interview for a pharmacy school and I went along to chill. When we first arrived in San Fran we approached our rental car for the weekend and it was this LITTLE YELLOW THING! I saw the thing from a distance and said " don't tell me thats our car" and sure enough it was. haha!!! After a few moments of surprise we grew fond of this LITTLE YELLOW THING. Our next car will be a little one.

When we first arrived to our hot wheels it reminded me of this movie scene:) haha.

When we accidentally ran into the Ghirardelli Chocolate factory while driving around it was a sign from God! As me and T are chocolate lovers, we had to go check it out. While we were there we got some Ghirardelli's Hot chocolate. We later went back the next day for a chocolate cupcake:)
I'd have to say a few hours out of our trip were soley devoted to finding and driving up and down san franciscos steep hills. This steep streein this picture is a mild hill.

Tonight we found out that Tj got ACCEPTEDto Pacific University located in Hillsboro Oregon. It was his top choice so this will be our new home for the next three years. We are both very excited to move on with our lives and get out of Cedar!!!

God Wants a Powerful People

So I am finally adding something new! I havn't been posting lately cause basically our lives haven't been too eventful!! Ha ha. Anyway....... I've been reading a book that I really like and have learned a lot from. It's by Sheri Dew and its called GOD WANTS A POWERFUL PEOPLE. This is not something I would normally do cause I usually keep my testimony and spiritual thoughts to myself. But I would really like to share something from this book that I REALLY liked.

"Backing up may mean repenting. It may mean forgiving someone or seeking forgiveness of another. It may just mean trying again. It may require you to ask for help, seek knowledge, humble yourself, change a decision, change an attitude, change your heart, or mend a relationship. It may mean striving harder to become more pure. It may mean that it's time to stop doing something or start doing something. It may mean seeking counsel from a parent or a priesthood leader, a trusted friend or eve a professional. Whatever backing up means--- and it can mean something different for every situation---- there are many times in life when we simply need to back up, even just a few inches, before we can hope to zoom forward spiritually again."

I loved this!!!! For me BACKING UP means to START DOING SOMETHING! The past little while I have been feeling like I've been "coasting" spiritually. I don't know if any of you have felt like this too, but I didn't feel like I was doing anything terribly wrong but I definitely wasn't doing anything to strengthen my testimony. Even when I would pray I just didn't feel anything. So when I read this, I decided that I was one that needed to "back up" before I could move forward spiritually again.

My friend Britney is getting marrried so a bunch of us girls went to st george to do some wedding stuff. This is us at Texas Roadhouse. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmm!!

Tj has another Pharmacy school interview there and I get to go with him to this one! Yay. Plus we'll be there on valentines day so it'll be fun!

Hunting XMas Trees!

The day after thanksgiving me and T, chris and whit, and nate and carly went to go hunt for some real nice xmas trees. Literally we hunted them. Tj brought his shot gun and shot us down a real nice tree!!! After hunting for our tree we had some delicious warm hot coco thatwarmed our souls!

Halloween, Dying Hair and Bowling and Pharmacy School interviews!!!!!!

We went with Taryn and Bode and a bunch of other people bowling a couple weeks ago. I managed to score under 40 points each game as usual and TJ tries hard but still doesn't fulfill his bowling dream. Anyway, it was a lot of fun.TJ went to Oregon this weekend for his interview at Pacific University. He felt really good about it and said it went well. He also got an interview in at the University of Hawaii and Sulliven University which is in Lousiville, Kentucky (not my prefered choice compared to Hawaii or even Oregon) But I guess we can't choose where we go so we'll see where the wind blows us (Hopefully that wind is blowing towards Hawaii) haha!!!!

Besides TJ's blue balls, only friends and close friends will be able to notice his freshly dyed dark hair. It's only a few shades darker.

This is what I was for Halloween. A Dark Angel!!! I am usually something pretty and for halloween but this year decided to bring out the little goth that I have in me. TJ loved it cause he loves goth!!!!

As you can see me and T are already bundled up for the winter cause it's been effing freezing here! We haven't been doing too much these last couple of weeks besides school and work.

Good news: We have a new addition to our family! No of not a baby! A firebelly toad! Tj is experimenting on him for one of his classes. And although I prefer cute fluffy cuddly dogs, this toad is suprisingly entertaining. He lives in a box in our bathroom (cause it's the most humid room in our hourse) and TJ talks to him everytime he goes pee! Other good news is that TJ got his first pharmacy school interview at Pacific University in Oregon. He's pretty stoked about it.

Kanab Excursion!!!!!!

Well me and Tj went to kanab last weekend to visit the fam dam. We gotta hang out with the whole gang Dee and Andrea and Dexton, Conner, and the new and most BEAUTIFUL baby, Violet, Treavor and Jodi, Jackie, Ella and Shaylee, and of course Jeannie, and Danny! We rode four wheelers in a bunch of red sand and mainly just chilled. It was great to get out of Cedar City and have a G to the O, O to the D, T to the I, and M with an E!!!! Goodtime!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, upon approaching the 2008 muzzleloader hunt I decided that I would take the first buck I saw. Unfortunatly it was just this little guy right here. Although I am not particularly proud of this deer, I had a lot of fun hunting with the boys.

Last night we went out with some real cowboys, TJ's Parents, to the Alan Jackson concert. There were a lot of old cowboys that attended. It was cool cause we didn't know that Leanne Womack was opening for him:) But we had tons of fun and it brought the cowboy out in us for a night.

Even though we've been able to make and save a little money

this summer in Las Vegas, we're ready to get out of this place! It's nothing

but dirt and it feels like you're in a microwave being nuked the second you walk outside. But we have had fun here. We've had some adventures, been to some shows and, got some serious rays, and of course shopped! Caesars Palace (don't really know if i spelled that right:)

WHile TJ and I are working ALL summer, we decided to take
a quick little road trip to Cali to vist Mickey Mouse and put our feet
in the beaches of Huntington.

Shark Reef Aquarium

After wathching Discovery Channels Shark Week. Me and T decided it was our time to go seek out some sharks. So we went to the closest thing to an ocean, Mandalay Bay's Shark Reef Aquarium. It was pretty sweet. We haven't got so excited about animals since we were 5.

A real Croc!!!

A sting ray we gotta play with and touch! But Igotta say the best was the jelly fish. Too bad ourpic didn't turn out!
